Dinner at Pastis is a superb example of Vancouver's fine dining scene. They know how to do things right and you don't need an amateur like me to tell you about it. Instead, let me tell you about their weekend brunch. For about the same price as burgers and fries at Sophie's down the street, you get freshly laundered white table cloths, serene atmosphere, perfect eggs benedict (or salade Nicoise, steak et frites, etc.) and staff who are charming and not at all snooty. | Dinner at Pastis is a superb example of Vancouver's fine dining scene. I prefer brown rice, so I cook my own when I order Chinese food. My rice cooker takes about 30 minutes and Connie's food always arrives before the rice is ready. The almond chicken is sauce-a-rific. | I prefer brown rice, so I cook my own when I order Chinese food.
