Casa Loma

Alyna and I spent the day checking out Casa Loma, the stables, and Spadina House (which are all side-by-side, and within walking distance of our house). Spadina house was definately the highlite, but I didn't take many pictures of that. We didn't actually go inside Casa Loma because it was too expensive. The Stables were really silly too because all the really interesting exhibits (old cars, etc) were closed to the public.

Casa Loma itself is a really unlikely sight on the Toronto landscape. Its very incongruous when viewed against the backdrop of powerlines and industrial sites. Build mostly out of concrete, Casa Loma is only around 100 years old, and in desperate need of repair.
