Well, there are many, many reasons why IB sucks. Beyond the obvious reason of extra work, the best way to determine just how bad IB is for its students is to examine its costs and benefits.
Of course, there is always the recognition that Universities give to IB students. This is no better illustrated than what was in the 1998-99 University of British Columbia calendar, stating that credit and advanced placement would be given to IB students with a "6, 7 or higher" in their Higher level courses.
For those of you unfamiliar with IB's grading system, a 7 is the highest attainable mark in any course.
The rest of the page will be devoted to testimonials from other IBers, once I find them.
