White
Noise
by Suzi Webster
Abandoned room, furnishings and television covered in white paint
White noise refers to a noise produced by a stimulus containing
all audible frequencies of vibration.
This installation explores the tensions created by the dichotomy
of simultaneously erasing/covering hegemonic signs of mass media
communication and consumption and the possibilities implied by
"all audible frequencies of vibration", or white noise.
