VEHICLE SERVICE POSITIONS

Service Advisor Duties:

• Communicate the needs of the customer to the technicians and vice-versa.

• Fill out repair orders, including all details.

• Record vehicle identification numbers

• Record vehicle make, model, year, production date, mileage, and license plate number.

• Record customers complaint in as much detail as possible.

• Recording all customer contact information.

• Keep customer informed of vehicle progress.

Service Technician Duties:

• Move vehicles in and out of bays.

• Perform required repairs on vehicles, as per work order.

• Report progress and status of work to shop Foreman.

Shop Foreman Duties:

• Assign work to service technicians.

• Assist service technicians in their work.

• Assist the service writer and keep him updated on progress.

• Verify satisfactory completion of repairs before vehicle is returned to customer.

Parts Manager:

• Order parts.

• Organize the parts department and keeps track of consumable inventory.

• Develop contacts with parts departments
